Are you carrying too many gadgets?
Is it just me or are we all becoming great big gadget whores?
As I sit writing this on my laptop on the train to Cardiff for a 4 day trip I reached into my bag for some sweets an realised all I had in the bag was gadgets. On top of the Acer laptop (£320) I had my Creative Vision W (£200), My Nokia 6680 (£200ish) My Fuji FinePix Compact Digital Camera (£200) My PSP (£200) plus games. With all the chargers, headphones and other bits and bobs it is now not unusual for me to bring my backpack, as a gadget bag on trips along with a separate bag for my clothes and toiletries.
I don’t really know where I’m going with this but all I know is that I now regularly carry with me on overnight trips over £1000 in ‘portable gadgets’ which fill a backpack and which weigh a substantial amount. Don’t get me wrong it doesn’t really bother me I mean its my choice to buy these items and my choice to carry them with me almost everywhere I go but I just dawned on me when at the point of packing I thought I was travelling light by not bringing my Digital SLR camera and the kit that goes along with it which would have easily increased my total to well in excess of £2000. Is this too much stuff?
I’m interested does everyone else carry this many gadgets or am I just some strange gadget obsessive. While you all ponder that thought I’m gong to get back to reading my stuff magazine and see what else I can cram in my backpack…

How to open .CR2 files in photoshop CS2 and CS3
Have you ever wondered how to open all those canon raw files (CR2) .CR2 files with Photoshop? Are you itching to open up the full potential of your canon 350D XT Rebel or other models such as the 400D and 30D among others by being able to use photoshop as the default raw editor? simply download the following file and read the instructions to be able to use the raw editor and open your .CR2 files directly within Photoshop.
<-- Click the logo to download the Photoshop file then unzip the download and copy and paste the canon raw.8bi file in the the correct directory for your operating system. Current I am only aware of the locations for the files for Photoshop CS3 and CS2 in Vista and XP see below for instructions of where to place the file for either of the afore mentioned combinations.
For Photoshop CS3 the canon raw.8bi file needs to go in the following location my computer -> C: -> Program Files -> Common Files ->Adobe -> Plug-Ins -> CS3 -> File Formats.
If the above directory does not exist then create it and insert the file. The next time you boot up Photoshop you should be able to open the .CR2 files
Next up is Photoshop CS2 again the file location is similar my computer -> C: -> Program Files -> Common Files ->Adobe -> Plug-Ins -> CS3 -> File Formats.
